We all know Paperblanks planners and journals have beautiful covers. But unless you've actually used one, you don't know just how great the paper is.
The kind folks at Paperblanks recently emailed me with this video showing how much care and thought goes into Paperblanks products. They pay particular attention to the quality of the paper, resulting in an exceptional writing experience.
This video explains how they upgraded their paper in 2008 to make it exceptionally fountain-pen friendly and specifically to minimize feathering.
Thats a really interesting video, and I liked the piano music too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant - both beautiful and fountain pen friendly - what more could I want? Wish they made refills for our filofaxes!
ReplyDeleteI was just looking at the Paperblanks micro day-at-a-time planner. I'm loving my Moleskine micro day at a time planner and wondered how the Paperblanks micros compared. Are the pages lined or blank like the Moleskines?
ReplyDeleteActually I’ve never seen the inside of the Micro, that’s a very good question if it’s lined or blank. And if it is lined, what size the lines are. Does anyone know?
ReplyDeleteHi Steveareno and Laurie,
ReplyDeleteI can answer your questions. For a sample supplementary page of Paperblanks' Micro Dayplanners (in actual size) go here: http://www.paperblanks.com/files/micro_dayplanner_sample-page.jpg
The pages are lined and the lines are about 1/4" apart.
I can also answer any other questions you may have!
Thanks czawadzki for the sample! How about the mini-size day-at-time planner, which is the next step up from the micro. Could you provide an interior page sample from that size? Also, does the mini put Saturday and Sunday on the same page, which I believe the larger day-at-time planners do?
ReplyDeleteHi Steveareno. For a sample supplementary page of Paperblanks' Day-at-a-Time Dayplanners (Mini or otherwise), go here: http://www.paperblanks.com/files/2012-dayplanner_day-at-a-time_sample-page.jpg
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, Saturday and Sunday are on the same page for the Mini Day-at-a-Time Dayplanners.
Love Paperblanks! I recently purchased a Silver Filigree Blush Pink slim journal. So beautiful, inside and out. And a Canadian company!!!!
